Paul K. Brickey is a Combat Medic currently serving a year long tour of duty in Iraq. He is attached to 2nd Platoon, Delta Tanker Company, 2-5 CAV 1CD based out of Ft. Hood Texas.
Paul was born to a Korean mother and an American father. He is a military brat having moved 7 times before finishing High School. He barely graduated High School in South Korea and spent his early twenties drunk and eeking out a living between South Korea and the US in various Punk Rock bands before joining the Army in 2007.
Paul is married to a beautiful Korean woman named Yumi Lee.
Paul is lifetime member of the NRA and a member of MAAF (Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers).
Paul is an avid fisherman and enjoys the outdoors.

I am a new member of the MAAF. I am also a Vietnam Vet, 11Bravo, 82nd Airborne Div, 3rd brigade 2/505th…an atheist in a fox hole.
(I was a “Leg” replacement, not AB qualified, btw)

My BASD was 1 Apr 03. I walked into the recruiter’s office and basically said “Where do I sign up to kill jihadists?”. That was 22 Jan 03. I would’ve gone into the Infantry, but…. I had just gotten married on 18 Jan, and my new wife wouldn’t have it.
I’m a gearhead wrench-spinner anyways, so I took the offer of being a 63B. I thought it’d be cool, because mechanics can go anywhere, and I’d still be a rifleman first.
I did my IET at Ft. Benning, with the 1/38 Inf. BN. That was almost the most fun I’d had in my life. Except in April at Ft. Benning, it tends to be COLD at 0500. >__< nln …. to the VA. I can't even get accupuncture here. Grrrrrr……
